At the moment I am looking at a particular gene called DIS3. This gene is known to be mutated in some people with blood cancer so I am trying to find out what this mutation is doing to cells to make them turn cancerous. Once I have a better idea of what this mutation is doing, we can start working on what drugs may be able to stop it.
