• Question: what do you like about looking at dna ?

      I find DNA fascinating in its simplicity. Just four nucleotides, yet the different combinations can code for such different things, and changes at certain positions in the DNA can have such huge impacts. I like the way that we can tell how closely related 2 species are to each other, and the way that we can use DNA to address many questions, from evolution and its implications on questions of a medical nature, to forensic applications (solving crimes). Plus, the structure of the DNA molecule is also pretty cool.
