It is! Having different colour eyes such as one brown and one blue is a rare phenomena known as Heterochromia Iridum. It can also present itself as different colours within the one eye.

Different eye colours can be inherited but they can also be as the result of an injury. There are a number of genetic abnormalities associated with different eye colour, too.

While it’s incredibly rare in humans, you may have noticed that it’s less rare in other animals such as cats and dogs!
