• Question: Do you like running experiments and working with different substances and DNA's ?

      Experiments can be very fun and it is very exciting when an experiment gives you a good result. At the same time, many experiments are unpredictable and often don’t work the way you’d hope. Sometimes I can spend weeks trying to find out what the problem is. As I am working with substances on a very tiny scale, I cannot actually ‘see’ what is going on inside the tubes and cells I’m working with. Therefore finding out why something is happening is very challenging! It’s very interesting working with different chemicals and DNA. It’s fascinating to see the editing DNA can affect a cell’s behaviour.
