• Question: what chemicals are you working with?

      Well, how long have you got. Also, all my chemistry friends would point out that everything everywhere is made of chemicals. Water, H2O, is a chemical, a chemical is essentially any substance that we can isolate and behaves in a certain way consistently.

      If however you meant what dangerous chemicals I work with, I’m afraid not too many. Most of the things in my lab are related to feeding my yeast and bacteria, I get to use liquid nitrogen and dry ice everyday, and thats quite fun, we use alcohol to clean and sterilise things. I also have lots of things that burst cells open which are classed as dangerous, but really only are in very high amounts.
