• Question: Is there anything in our DNA that holds the idea that we have lived before in a different life?

Technically the answer to your question is yes.

Our DNA is a physical part of our being made up of hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon and oxygen atoms. If you go back billions of years, these very same atoms that make up us, were present in the Big Bang when the universe was created. Since then they have probably passed through all sorts of non-living and living beings. Our atoms were probably once in bacteria, plants and even in dinosaurs! Over billions of years they have been recycled, and now they’ve ended up in us. So yes physically we have lived before, probably in many different lives!

However, if you are talking spiritually, for example has our soul lived before. That is a question that science will always attempt to answer, but probably never will.

Cool question but certainly not, no! Science deals with the physical universe; there are things scientists know, things they don’t and things they can’t know. When spiritualists claim to know things such as these, it is not based on evidence, nor could there be any evidence to disprove it! By this logic it can’t be known and must be given the same weighting as anything that is made-up such as fairies or goblins (which can’t be disproved either because they don’t exist). If anyone claims to know these things, you shouldn’t trust them!

The story Sophie has told of our molecular composition is much more interesting too!
