How did you get interested in DNA in the first place?

Question: How did you get interested in DNA in the first place?

  I have a lot of family working in medicine. My mom was a midwife, and various other family members were part of the medical field. Plus all of the uses of DNA, like in forensics for instance… its pretty cool!
